JUL 25, 2024 – (LOS ANGELES, CA) – ShipBots, a leading innovator in e-commerce fulfillment solutions, is thrilled to announce the signing of a landmark Last-Mile Service Purchase Contract with Aeros for package delivery using airships and drones. Under this agreement, Aeros will handle the delivery of 5 million parcels annually for ShipBots in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

This strategic partnership positions ShipBots at the forefront of the logistics industry’s future, demonstrating its commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technologies for superior customer service.

Aeros is pioneering the future of last-mile delivery with its Airship Fulfillment Center (AFC), combining the efficiency of airship-based logistics with the precision of UAS package delivery. Operating Aeros’ Zero-Emission Electric Variable Buoyancy Airship (eVBA) as an airborne mobile warehouse, UAS will deliver packages directly from the airship to customers’ doorsteps within 90 minutes of order placement. Drones will fly down from the AFC, deliver packages, and return for recharging and picking up the next package for delivery.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Aeros to revolutionize our delivery operations,” said Payam Ahdoot, CEO of ShipBots. “This contract highlights our dedication to providing fast, efficient, and eco-friendly delivery services to our customers.”

Igor Pasternak, CEO of Aeros, added, “Safety and innovation are at the core of the Aeros model. With Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) operations, managed by a drone pilot onboard the airship, Aeros ensures safe separation between drones and other traffic. This sets a new standard for secure, efficient last-mile delivery, enhancing public trust and regulatory confidence.”
