EXECUTIVE ORDER ALERT: UNLEASHING AMERICAN DRONE DOMINANCE
Last week, the Trump Administration issued a major Executive Order to accelerate the United States’ leadership in advanced air mobility especially in the development, commercialization, and export of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS)—otherwise known as drones. Key highlights include:
- Directs FAA to expand drone operations by enabling routine “Beyond Visual Line of Sight” drone operations for commercial and public safety missions
- Establishing a federal eVTOL program to fast-track the deployment of safe, lawful vertical flight operations
- Supporting the use of drones and air mobility systems to increase productivity and reshape the future of aviation
- Advancing applications such as cargo transport and emergency response
- Recognizing that emerging technologies like VTOL aircraft are critical to modernizing delivery methods

The Challenge: A Regulatory Standoff
While the administration clearly champions the potential of drones, especially BVLOS operations, the FAA remains cautious—prioritizing safety over speed. This creates a critical tension between innovation ambition and regulatory caution.
Aeros’ Perspective: The Perfect Middle Ground
This Executive Order is a clear signal that the future of logistics and aviation will be built in the sky—and at Aeros, we’ve been preparing for this moment.

Our Airborne Fulfillment Center (AFC) model delivers on this vision—safely, lawfully, and immediately. By combining manned airships with onboard delivery drones, we’ve created a compliant and scalable platform for low-emission last-mile delivery and critical logistics, all while staying within the FAA’s current regulatory framework. The Aeroscraft, our electric Variable Buoyancy Airship (eVBA), is an eVTOL aircraft in its own right—capable of precision hovering, vertical operations, and deployment without runways or heavy infrastructure. It’s uniquely suited to serve emergency response, cargo delivery, and mobile logistics in both urban and remote environments.
As Aeros continues to work with the FAA on launching the AFC, this Executive Order creates an ideal framework for advancing our regulatory discussions and commercial deployment.
